New Members

Perth Strathspey & Reel Society is looking for additional musicians and this could be your opportunity to join us.

We play and practise for gigs, mainly around the Perth area and this year we have booked the wonderful Perth Theatre for our annual concert in the spring. We would be particularly pleased to increase our numbers for this event and would like to invite you to join us. Auditions are not necessary, just the ability to read music, so please get in touch or pass this information on to a friend who also may be interested.

Perth Strathspey & Reel Society is a friendly bunch of musicians that enjoy playing Scottish Traditional music and we are looking to increase our fiddle, accordion and bass players. We would love to hear from any player young or old who would like to join us. We don’t hold auditions and welcome players of all levels. Rehearsals are relaxed, good fun and give us the opportunity to play well known tunes and learn a few not so well known.

Maybe you need motivation to blow the dust off that old box or fiddle, so whether you are at school, retired or somewhere in between, now is a great time to join Perth Strathspey & Reel Society. So, please get in touch with us. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7 till 9pm, upstairs in the Ex Servicemen’s Club Perth, so how about getting that box or fiddle out and come along for a tune. We are looking forward to meeting you.

Our first rehearsal is on 10th January at 7pm, upstairs in the Ex Servicemen’s Club Hall. You will be most welcome to join us and we look forward to meeting you and having a good tune together.

Perth Strathspey & Reel Society was formed in 1989 with the aim of promoting Scottish music in the community. We regularly play at concerts, ceilidhs and other events around Perthshire.
