About Us
The Society has an elected committee. Elected members meet regularly throughout the year to make decisions on behalf of the Society. Elections take place at the AGM which is held in September.Any member can stand for election to the Committee. Minutes of all meetings are kept and an annual balance sheet is available at the AGM.
Meetings are held according to the rules set in the constitution. Our objective is; ‘to promote interest in Scottish music.’ We play traditional Scottish music but also play new music in the Scottish style, some Irish music, country dance music and sing-a-long sets. Members often submit music for inclusion in our programmes, the final selections being made by the conductor.
If you belong to an organisation looking to making up a syllabus for the near future , please note that we can provide large, medium, or small groups to entertain. Please contact the Secretary through the 'contact us' section of this web site for more information.
