PATRICIA CARRIGAN - NEW LEADER PSRS

We are delighted to welcome a new Leader to our Society. Her name is Patricia Carrigan.[3rd left in photo] Originally from Kilkenny ,Ireland, Patricia started playing violin at the age of 7 and studied classical music at the Kilkenny School of Music for 10 years. Alongside classical music she played with the local Ceoltas Traditional Music Group. Each year they played in Kilkenny Castle and made annual trips abroad including Norway, Prague and Germany.

After school, she went to Aberdeen University where she studied for Batchelor of Music Hons.degree.
While in Aberdeen she played with the Elphinstone Fiddlers eventually becoming Leader. Patricia has played in Ceilidh bands , was a member of the Aberdeen Strathspey and Reel Society winning group and individual prizes. In 2018 she became a member of the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra. With her qualifications, Patricia has all the skills required to attract new members to our Society. If you are in full time education there is no charge. Subs, for others is a one off payment of 30 pounds. The season begins in September and we play until the end of April. December is a rest period. Come along with your instrument and enjoy an evening with us . Children can be accompanied by adults if desired.

We look forward to going forward as a group with our new Leader and hope to attract new talent of all ages along each Wednesday evening at 7pm at the Ex-Serviceman's Club Perth.
